Jim Stokes informs us through the RFS Facebook page: "THE 39 STEPS comedy version produced by Doug Denoff used some RF music as overture music before the opening curtain."
Quite a good many years ago, I saw a film made in Scandinavia about two girls madly in love with each other and quite inseparable; and what subsequently takes place when a man enters the picture and attempts to have something with one of them. It was a second feature in the theatre where it was being presented, and unmemorable enough for me to not remember its title. But what stood out for me was that right in the middle of this film as an apparent respite from this drama, there is an interlude featuring a beautiful landscape setting (the film was not made in color) during which Robert Farnon's "Gateway to the West" in its entirety was presented. This was totally uncredited, and in my 1971 letter to Mr. Farnon that I mentioned in a recent comment, I referred to this. He made no reference to it in his response to me.
